the beach

So yesterday we got finished around 4 and I decided to go to Venice beach.  To save money I took the bus which took about 1 1/2 hours.  Yeah long ride, but I had nothing better to do.  The bus was packed, the guy next to me was drinking a beer and the girl in front of me smelled like jerry curl.  Ha.  The beach was very nice and clean.  Still a lot of people there at 6pm.  I walked down to the pier where it was full of people fishing.  Although I didn't see anyone catch anything.  The area next to the pier was reserved for surfers, most of them pretty terrible, but it was fun to watch.  A lot of artists along the boardwalk.  People playing music and drawing painting.  There were also a lot of tattoo places but I resisted the temptation. :)  I would say there were a fair amount of weirdos as well.  When I first got there a man was "preaching" through a speaker.  He was pretty obnoxious and embarrassing for Christians.  There was also a man dressed as a devil carrying a cross.  Not quite sure what he was trying to say.  Got some pics.
