Boston

We had a day off in Boston and got there around 8am.  I crashed at the hotel for a while, but ended up wandering around, getting something to eat and found the Cheers bar.  I asked, but nobody knew my name.  Not a great picture, but oh well.  Saw a couple sights but it started pouring.  Went back to the hotel and my buddy Chuck from Cincinnati was just arriving.  I knew him back in the Pyramid/Loud and Clear days.  He's now on with us until the end of the tour.  Good news, but this meant we sadly had to say goodbye to Kevin.

So funny story at the next nights concert.  The 2 front men in blink 182 are Tom D. and Mark H.  They usually insult and make fun of each other through out the show.  That night, Tom must have got upset and decided to kick over Mark's mic stand.  So Mark decides to take Tom's microphone, rip it off the cable, and throw it in to the audience.   Well our monitor tech, Tom V., jumped off the stage and over the barricade to rescue the microphone.  As he's putting it back in the stand, Tom D. stops him and asks him his name and age and if he had a girlfriend and that he would help him find one.  Very funny.  I snapped a picture just as Tom V. was walking away from Tom D.  Tom found a youtube video of some of it.  Just a warning it's rated R. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiQCSvZNoKo

Also during the show, Travis's kids were there.  The whole night his son sat behind him and played along. Pretty cool.  After the show, his kids came out on stage and threw drum sticks into the audience.

The only thing to really complain about is our internet connection on the bus.  It's taken me a while to post here.  We're in Bristow, VA tonight.  We're in the 2nd show of a 4-in-a-row.   Our next day off is in Montreal next week.  Any ideas besides sleep?
