Walking in Memphis

We've been out about two weeks and covered most of the southeast. We have a day off in Memphis today, which Chuck has rounded most of the crew up to find some good BBQ on Beale street.  Tomorrow is the last day of this leg of the tour.  It would be nice to take a break before the 2nd leg, but Rat has me going to Indio, CA for the Coachella festival the next 2 weekends.  Since the festival is only on the weekends I have 3-4 days off in southern california.  Need to find something to do!  There are a few of us staying so we might rent a car.  Joshua Tree is near by and Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Diego are only a few hours away.  Should be able to come up with something.

In Orlando we went by the old Amway Arena that was demolished just a few days before we got there.

Stage Right looking good today.  Can you guess what the red tape means?

The video screens rotate, go up and down, and split like a venetian blind.  In fact they're called venetians.

Silhouette of Flea taking a break.

Lots of people in Raleigh, NC

Under the chair at FOH Jim installed a thumper for added.. thump.

 FOH

So when you lose your credential laminate it's not good.  Obviously our laminates are an all access pass to every show.  To punish the laminate loser, he or she must where this oversized one.  All I can say is it's not an audio guy.

The band has a practice room set up every day in case they want to run through some things before the show.  We set up a few mics and monitors.  Tommy trying to get out of the picture.

Every night they set up a riser behind FOH with couches for radio contest winners.  During this show no one used them so Jim decided to take a load off.

Looking forward to coming home for only a few days at the end of April.  2nd leg starts April 26!  Hope you all are doing well.
