Tiësto

Rat asked me to do a three week tour with a DJ named Tiesto.  Never heard of him but supposedly he is arguably the best house DJ in the world.  Ok.  It's been about a week and a tough week but I think we're over the beginning of tour hump.  Everyone seems to be working well together and things are moving in and out smoothly.  It's just Chuck and me out here on this one.  Before Tiesto I did a gig for Pyramid in Gatlinburg TN called Winterfest.  I've been a part of that show since 1999.  It's a Church of Christ youth conference with over 10,000 high school and middle school students.

Winterfest 2013

I ran monitors for Winterfest.  Lots of wireless.  24 channels.  Pretty easy though.

Yes there were live sheep on stage.  Here they are waiting for their cue.

Bah bah here and a bah bah there...

Good times at the local Mexican restaurante

Tiesto.  Since there's only a DJ booth on stage, most of the show is filled with special effects.  Pyro, strobes, lasers, confetti, streamers... Basically an awesome dance party.

We're carrying 15 K1, 6 K1SB, and 12 dv per side!  32 SB28 in a sub arc.  Yeah it's a lot for a DJ.

Before the insanity...

My side looking particularly good today.

His DJ setup includes 8 KARA and 2 SB28.  It's loud!  5 CDJ and a mixer.  Here we're in Bethlehem PA setting up.

 Pyro

Freakin Lasers

This was in the Times Union Center in Albany.  You should know of my love for Billy Joel.

Until next time...
